The real choice is where context and responsibility live

A successful form submission proves only that a browser sent data somewhere. It does not prove that the destination received every answer, preserved campaign attribution, updated the correct person, enrolled the right sequence, respected consent, or exposed a recoverable failure. Buy the lowest follow-up depth that completes the job

Level 0 is a thank-you page. Level 1 is one confirmation email. Level 2 is the same timed sequence for everyone. Level 3 branches on an answer, score, or result. Level 4 branches again on later behavior such as clicking, booking, or buying. Level 5 coordinates email, sales ownership, alerts, lifecycle stage, and reporting while preserving the original qualification context.

A newsletter signup rarely needs Level 5. A high-ticket assessment may fail commercially if it stops at Level 1. The correct system is the least complicated architecture that completes the required depth with observable failures and a clear owner.

Run a synthetic end-to-end acceptance test
